This year the annual conference of the North American Membrane Society (NAMS 2020 – Engineering Membrane Materials, Processes and Applications, 18-21 May 2020) took place in a digital form online. The group participated with an iPoster presented by Péter Kisszékelyi with our work on Cinchona-decorated cyclodextrin organocatalyst for asymmetric synthesis in a continuous-flow membrane reactor published in the Journal of Catalysis. He won the 2nd prize for his iPoster at the Processes session.
Meanwhile, Levente Cseri, a previous group member and our friend from the Szekely Group, also presented his work on Graphene oxide nanocomposite anion exchange membranes for improved electrodialysis and won the 3rd prize for his iPoster at the Materials session. His article on this topic was also featured on the front cover of Journal of Materials Chemistry A.
We would like to thank all the organizers of NAMS 2020, especially Manish Kumar, for their hard work. It was a great experience and we are looking forward to the next event.
